Curriculum for Water Unit
As we began to develop our curriculum we
thought the topic could be divided into two categories: fresh water and
salt water. Click on a link below for a list of topics that fall
into each category. Each topic will include not only a description
of activities in and out of the classroom, but also examples of homework
and experiments that may be used to reinforce understanding of the topic.
Links will also be provided to student drawings and writings generated
around individual topics.
As a culminating activity we asked
students to give a presentation to their fellow classmates. The instructions
were that each student in the class will present two things that they have
learned in the water unit. This presentation can be done by reading
a report, making a poster, singing a song, writing a role play or by giving
an oral presentation.
